Podcast Episode: Moms, Five Reasons You Deserve a Shower

Being a stay-at-home mom is a next level intense gig. For whatever reason, people assume it's a cushy position- after all, you get to be home, but often they fail to remember you're home with children.

Even if you're home with just one baby, there seems to be very little downtime. If you're not taking care of baby, you're cleaning. If you're not cleaning, you're doing laundry. If you're not doing laundry, you're grocery shopping.

Add a few more kids with nonstop needs, a job if you work from home, and you're almost always going.

I've been a stay-at-home mom for my whole mom life. I've always worked from home and love being available, but I'd be lying if I said it was easy. I feel like if I worked out in the world every day, taking care of myself would be a higher priority because presentation is part of the job.

When you stay home it's easy to go from pretty pretty princess to gremlin pretty fast. Cute gremlin. Gremlin in leggings with strawberry lipgloss, but still a gremlin all the same.

The first thing that falls to the wayside when I'm taking care of everyone else is myself. In this episode, I share what I've learned about how to take care of moi.

The books I mentioned in the episode are: My Lighthouse by Ali Gilkeson

And Alphabet by Heart by Mark and Jeanne Shriver
